Public Bus Service Tickets

Our Tickets come in the following Options:

Sussex Coaches: Single, Return, Day Ticket, Weekly Ticket, & Family Saver Ticket.

  • A single ticket entitles you to one journey only on the issuing route. Exceptions: are any 68 ticket may also be used on 63 Service. STP1 & 2 tickets can be used on either service, subject to available capacity.
  • A return ticket entitles you to return travel on the same calendar day on the issuing route only.
  • A day ticket entitles you to unlimited travel on the issuing route for one calendar day.
  • A weekly ticket applies to a calendar week; entitles users on the 68 to unlimited Monday – Saturday Travel, on all other services this is always Monday to Friday on the issuing route only.
  • 68 Family day tickets for up to 5 people (1 or 2 adults and 2-3 children)

 

Other Operator Tickets

  • We accept Compass Bus and Stagecoach Tickets on the 63 Service only when issued for the corresponding locations.

How to purchase a ticket:

All of our Public Service routes accept Cash payments.

Change is given but limited to availability, we appreciate exact or close change to your fare, where possible.

The Following Services accept Contactless Card Payment

63, 68, 525,  590, 626, 633, 634, 639, STP1, & STP2.

Discovery Tickets

Discovery tickets give unlimited travel on most bus services throughout the South East of England, Sussex Coaches both issue and accept Discovery Tickets on all of our Public Service Buses.

Concessionary Fares

Child Concessionary Tickets:

  • Children under 5 years travel free,
  • Children 5 to 15 year olds travel at half adult Fare, except on 63 Service which is a flat fare ticket at the same rate for all passengers.
  • Children entitled to Free School Transport may be allocated an annual pass for our public services by the Local Council.

Young Person Concessionary Tickets:

  • Young persons between 16 and 20 years of age travelling in West Sussex are entitled to Child Fare travel regardless of the nature of journey as long as a child fare is available on that route. (All except 63)
  • ID may be required, such as Citizen Card
  • This Scheme is supported by West Sussex County Council and the Department for Transport

Disabled Persons Concessionary Travel Cards:

  • West Sussex (or Districts of) Disabled Concessionary Travel Cards Are valid at any time
  • Disabled Passes issued by any other English Authority are only valid after 0930 Monday – Friday

“Companion” Cards:

For Services in West Sussex, we can accept Companion Cards from

  • East Sussex
  • Kent
