Public Bus School Routes

Sussex Coaches independently operate a number of Public Bus Service Routes. Most of these services are dedicated School Buses and West Sussex County Council may allocate your child a place on one of our public services. Having these services open to fare paying public passengers, allows children outside of the catchment area, to also use the services.

Please note STP1, & STP2. are available to all members of the Public, All other routes are restricted to Children travelling to the designated schools or Adults who are employed at the School. Some children eligible for free school transport may be allocated a West Sussex Pass for public services.

Can I use my Concessionary Bus Pass on your buses?

Absoloutely.

Older Person Concessionary Travel Cards:

  • English National Concessionary Cards are issued by your local authority on behalf of the Government.
  • In West Sussex Older Persons Concessionary Travel Cards issued by any English authority are accepted on all normal Public Bus services after 09:30 Monday to Friday, and any time weekends and Bank Holidays.

Disabled Persons Concessionary Travel Cards:

  • West Sussex (or Districts of) Disabled Concessionary Travel Cards Are valid at any time
  • Disabled Passes issued by any other English Authority are only valid after 0930 Monday – Friday

Do you offer reduced fares for Children?

Yes of course, children under 5 travel free, and Children of 5-15 travel at reduced child rate.
